LYRIN Pure Silicone Fluids are clear, colorless and odorless linear 100% Polydimethylsiloxane Silicone Fluids / PDMS Silicone Oils.

Silicone Fluids are water clear liquids, their distinguishing features result from their molecular structure. Silicone fluids are dimethyl polysiloxanes with unbranched chains consisting of alternate silicon & oxygen atoms, their free valencies being saturated with Methyl groups, whereas carbon chains of organic materials are rather sensitive to external influences, the stability of the organic Si-0 bonds corresponds in many regards to the chemically inert behavior of mineral Silicates.

Properties

(1) Low viscosity / temperature coefficient:

They exhibit a smaller degree of change over a wider temperature range than petroleum oils (over 50 times more constant)

(2) Thermal stability:

Silicone fluids show excellent stability when exposed to high temperatures. They are stable from -52°C to 200°C for extended periods and can exceed this for short periods.

(3) Oxidation Stability:

The oxidation stability of these fluids is excellent up to 200°C where slugging is eliminated that occurs with mineral oils above 150°C.

(4) Chemical Inertness:

They are chemically inert to most common materials.

(5) Low Flammability:

Flash point is in the range of 250°C to 300°C and auto ignition temperature is ranging from 438°C to 460°C.

Application

1. Used in skin care,bath gel,shampoo and other cosmetics.
2. Used in additives and agent in rubber,sealant,plastic,latex,etc.
3. Used as deforming agent,lubricant,release agent in pharmaceutical,food,chemical,paint and other industries.
4. Used as mold release agent
5. Used as softener,lubricants for sewing line,and other textile.
